Self Assessment

My Self  Assessment     In the four weeks we have been using blogs I have been able to get a better understanding on how to format and write them out more easily. I have looked over all of my blog posts and I saw that the one mistake that was the same throughout every post were my grammatical errors. I need to take the time and reread my posts before I continue to finish and publish them if I were to do this after writing my posts, I believe that it would benefit me because I wouldn't lose points on my assignments for a silly mistake. For the most part a blog is pretty easy to manage and work with the one thing that usually gives me stress is how to format pictures throughout my post without messing up the format of my writing. After a couple tries and being patient enough to fit the pictures how I want they usually end up in place.   Getting To Know Your Island      The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of three main islands St. Croix, St.Thomas, St. John and 50 smaller islets and cays. The island has a rich history just like many other countries in the Caribbean. What mainly stood out to me and what could be a good topic for my research project is that the islands inhabitants were enslaved and sold off as slaves as well. The island was conquered by five different countries throughout history and as of 2010 the population of the Island was 106,405. Seve

During the life time of the Island there have been multiple groups that have settled on the island for example the tainos were the indigenous people of Puerto Rico and had been there up to 1000 years before Christopher Columbus had arrived on the island. Once Christopher Columbus got there he brought the second group of settlers and they stayed there for some time so they could make goods that they needed. The third group to live on the island were the Americans while they got there the latest they took the island in order to get Spain out of there but also because, of their interests in developing a sugar market on the island. After around roughly four hundred years of colonial rul
